Wow! Didn't realize that in 2022 NC's trucking industry moved 478 million tons of freight and by 2050 it is "expected to increase 64% by weight and 97% by value." Also, "85% of communities in NC are solely reliable on trucking for getting their goods" and most of the freight by ton is done by a truck. This info was printed in a magazine entitled NC BUSINESS and the article is titled "Making Sure Stuff Gets Delivered." It also talks about the importance of air transport in NC. with the state having "17 airports with cargo activity." Of course, railways are not to be outdone since the state has "the largest consolidated rail system in the nation" with 3200 miles of track allowing for shipments to 22 states. This means, of course, that transportation is vital to NC's economy. What is also astounding to me is that in the future drones may fly people around since that is already happening on a trial basis according to this article!

Was so sorry to hear that Tucker Carlson is no longer with Fox News. He was my favorite cause he covered so many topics and didn't repeat himself so much. He had more new and up-to-date info about many subjects - moreso than some of the other hosts on Fox. Plus, he was not afraid to speak out.

Just read that George Soros donated $1 million to the Color of Change PAC which supports NY district attorney Bragg who is set to prosecute Donald Trump in his upcoming case involving Stormy Daniels. Soros who is very left-leaning obviously believes that he needs to influence present-day events with his money. He wrote last year that he has been involved in trying to change things for 30 years. He asserts that black people are 5x more likely to wind up in prison than whites. DA's like Bragg of NYC are reducing felonies to misdemeanors and Soros supports these actions which have had a 90% success rate. This tendency decriminalizes drug use and many users are not being prosecuted which leads to more criminal activity. Stores like CVS are being ransacked in cities and armed guards are having to be hired. People can come into fast-food places and trash the place and nothing happens. Soros believes that people will steal only if they are poor. Therefore, what results is a spike in crimes. This type of thinking and money only leads to bias among prosecutors.

Well, it will be interesting to see if former President Trump is arrested on Tuesday. Regardless of when it happens, it seems as if the Left is ready to attack him once again. Nothing new about that. How many times does this make anyway?? Hope they are just as unsuccessful this time as in the past. Guess we will just have to wait and see!

Yes, I can see a definite struggle between good and evil. There seems to be a definite difference in the way the two sides are treated by the Justice Department. The Left has been after Trump well before he was ever elected and the movement has not abated. On the other hand, it seems as if the same department handles the present administration with kid gloves: justice for me but not for thee!

I sometimes listen to American Family Radio, a conservative Chistian radio station that sends me a magazine periodically. I just read where the once popular actor Kirk Cameron was blackballed from volunteering to read during story time his new children's book AS YOU Grow which promotes love, joy and other biblical values at various public libraries around the country (in oppostion to the "woke" ideologies being taught.) However, 54 libraries declined his offer although they had held Drag Queen Story Hours for kids. One library replied that it was a "very queer-friendly library; our message does not align." How shockingly far this country has backslid - obviously turning its back on Biblical teaching!

I recently read an interesting article from THE EPOCH TIMES newspaper in which I learned the reason for the deterioration of education in the US. I knew that in the ‘60s that the progressive John Dewey was influential in changing the way children were taught in the public schools. Little did I know his ideas came about as the result of a visit to Russia where he was obviously impressed by their methodology. Upon returning to the US he saw fit to do everything he could to implement those ideas here and do away with the traditional readers like the APPLETON and McGUFFEY PRIMERS which had successfully been used for years and taught children not only how to read but to reason. Thinking his ideas far surpassed the old tried and true strategies, America began a steady decline. Even 10 years ago the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) which assesses adult competencies every 10 years determined that “more than half of US adults scored in the ‘below basic’ literacy range, reading at lower than an eighth grade level. Only 12 percent of adults can read at the highest literacy level ….” Is it any wonder then that many people today are unable to read and think intuitively which makes us easy pawns — willing to believe everything we HEAR rather than delving into the truth for ourselves???

Well, Biden’s Treasury Department has announced on Thursday, a new initiative tasking the federal government to audit virtually all financial transactions of Americans with bank accounts holding at least $600.

Simply put, the American Families Plan calls for banks and other financial institutions to report more than just a taxpayer’s interest earned, capital gains and losses. Banks and other financial institutions would also be required to report “aggregate account outflows and inflows.” In other words, the IRS will know about all of your bank accounts, whether you earned income on that account or not, how much is in the account in a given year, and how much was transferred in and out of the account.

These new powers include the "right" to continuously spy on Americans' checking accounts through forced reporting requirements from banks on all cash flows. They will also spy on Americans' PayPal accounts in the name of knowing whether they are reporting their petty side income. It's definitely a war on the little guy.

Can you say "invasive"? This is without doubt a direct violation of our 4th Amendment rights. Watch out sellers on Facebook Marketplace!!
